This brush is a type of Tsuketate-Fude. It is slightly smaller than the Choryu brush and is often used as a brush for practicing ink painting.This brush, which bears the name of the Maruyama School, one of the leading schools of Japanese painting founded by Maruyama Okyo in the mid-Edo period, is easy to use for beginners in the study of Japanese painting and ink painting.
