Sanba Bake/Kara Bake
This brush is a flat brush made of Sanba (en:Samber) bristles. It is also called Karabake（唐刷毛）. Each hair is very hard and rough, with a thick base and thin tip, and is used in Japanese painting to blur a large surface. It is also used to draw stripes on the painted surface, so it is also used to draw stripes on wood grain patterns when painting wood.
