Surikomi Bake
This brush(surikomi brush) is used for stencil dyeing. Horsehair and deerhair are used, and there are two types: a hard brush (Kuro – black type) and a soft brush (Aka – red type). They are used according to the technique and purpose of stencil dyeing, such as kata-yuzen and bingata. It can also be used for blurring in Japanese-style painting. These are professional brushes used by traditional Japanese craftsmen.
